Khumpui Academy is a Residential English Medium School established on 9th October, 1996 by the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council( TTAADC) to provide free education to the backward people belonging to the scheduled Tribes of Tripura. It is run and managed by the Education Department of TTAADC. It is ideally situated in the Headquarters of the TTAADC called Khumulwng which is 22 KM away from the capital city of Agartala. The school was upgraded from the Junior Basic to the Senior Basic on March 2001 and from the Senior Basic to the High School on March 2004 and from the High School to the Higher Secondary(+2 stage) on January,2011. The school is affiliated to the CBSE. Initially it started with Arts Stream and in 2014 Science Stream was introduced.
